Our 2009 Fun Day will be held on December 6, 2008 at Deer Creek Animal Hospital from 10 - 4. It is located at 3025 E Rose Garden Ln, Phoenix, AZ 85050. We have an acre of grass there and will be planning some fun events. Please check back later but save the day now to spend with us. We will be having Gary Wilkes, the behaviorist, speaking. He is great and you can learn many helpful tips from him. THere will be food available for purchase, a raffle, dog grooming demo, and some special ceremonies. We love to see all of the schnauzers that have been adopted from us and all the other dogs that have found their way into our rescue. They are all very special. Or if you are just a schnauzer lover, that is as good a reason as any to stop by and see all the dogs in one spot. Please come and bring your giant or other dog, a chair to sit on and be prepared to enjoy! All of our present rescues who are needing a home will be there. Have space in your heart and your home for another dog? We have a couple to choose from.





VSGSR expenses with the numerous rescues has been more than we imagined, although it was well worth the expense - lives were saved and the majority are in wonderful happy homes. Although some are still struggling to learn to cope with "life on the outside," as it were thanks to some wonderful foster homes. So it's time for us to do a little fundraising, and we're doing that with the help of PetSmart.

On February 21, 2010 at Tempe Town Lake, PetSmart Charities will be hosting a PetWalk to raise much needed funds for homeless pets. We would love to have you walk with us, but if you cannot walk with us, a donation would be a wonderful thing :o) We get to keep 100% of our donations. We will later post a direct link to the Petsmart page where you can register and walk with us. Last year we had more than twenty schnauzers walk with us and we are looking to double that number this year. Please mark your calendars now for that date.
